One client of Torch Professional Services Pty Ltd, a major corporation who value their contractors, are currently seeking a Telco Field Supervisor for an initial 6 month contract with the view of extension to be based in Mitchell.
As the Telco Field Supervisor you will be responsible for managing deployment of the network infrastructure and customer builds, in accordance with current process, timescales and funding. You will be responsible and accountable for the project delivery to ensure customer expectations are met.
As the Telco Field Supervisor you will be responsible for;
Reviewing and critiquing Site Surveys in accordance with Engineering design briefs within the ACT & Southern NSW.
Project Management of external plant and fibre deployment (FAD1/ CBA) in the ACT & Southern NSW.
Project Management of installation of network infrastructure equipment and Customer Access equipment (FAD2) in the ACT & Southern NSW.
Project Management of Delivery and Assurance fibre splicing (FAD3).
Manage larger, higher profile projects associated with infrastructure build and deployment.
Provide problem solving interpretation and the exercise of judgement due to procedures not being clearly defined or documented.
Work closely with all Field delivery staff to ensure all milestones and engineering projects are completed on time and within KPI’s.
Responsible for the supervision of consultants & contractors ensuring all WHS, environmental and specification requirements are adhered to at all times.
To be considered for this role you should have;
Degree or diploma in electronic engineering or equivalent experience
Demonstrated Telecommunications experience (min 5 years) in internal and external plant design and construction activities or equivalent project management experience.
An in depth knowledge of optical fibre delivery methods, installation practices and route selection.
Proven experience in a commercial environment overseeing contractors.
Thorough knowledge of the Telecommunications Act and ACA requirements.
Demonstrable understanding of WHS policies and procedures.
Demonstrable understanding of Environmental Management Systems and the interpretation of Environmental Management Plans.
Work cover WHS induction training for Construction Work (General Induction).
Current Drivers licence.
Fibre splicing experience or understanding.
Experience with building structural requirements and relevant Building Codes.
Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral.
A good balance of perspective, drive and humour.
Motivated team player.
This role is paying from $380 – $450/day incl super depending on skills and experience.
