India based broadband services provider Connect Broadband has partnered with Huawei to create Fiber Connected Smart homes. Under this partnership program, renowned builders and architects were invited to witness the benefits of FTTH technology over legacy technologies and were provided with technical know-how on deploying fiber cables in buildings at the time of construction.
Connect Broadband reports it has already deployed FTTH on a commercial basis and tested with 100Mbps bandwidth. The newly launched program includes planning fiber network while the building is under construction; making each home fiber ready. Customers buying these houses will be able to access speeds of up to 100Mbps.
Additionally, a special logo unit was unveiled, which can be carried by all builders, who have deployed the technology. The logo defines that the said property is fiber connected delivering smart homes. Connect Broadband will promote these smart homes to its subscriber base in Punjab. Marketing support will be provided to builders in terms of e-mailers, bill inserts and digital marketing.
Going forward, the Connect-Huawei partnership is expected to bring telecom services for Connect Enterprise users, largely corporate, builders and architects across Punjab.
The partnership will enable Connect to offer complete communications services along with data and voice connectivity. Key products include video conferencing equipment, firewalls and security, data storage, routers and switches.
Connect Broadband is the telecommunication wing of QUADRANT TELEVENTURES LTD (formerly known as HFCL Infotel Ltd). The company provides telecom services to the Northern border state of Punjab. The company provides FTTH, Wireless broadband services to its customers.
