The UK based CityFibre had signed deals with Exa Networks and Diva Telecom to share its fiber-optic networks. The agreement for six years with Exa and Diva Telecom is worth US$5.54. As per the agreement, CityFibre will share its fiber-optic infrastructure in Northern England with these companies.

Diva Telecom is a Leeds based telecommunication business based, supporting businesses across the UK and globally with their wide telecoms portfolio. Diva Telecom’s portfolio includes the UK and international business numbers, business lines and calls, internet connectivity, on-site and hosted telephony, SMS solutions, and audio conferencing.
CityFibre has already invested more than 101 million US dollars in broadband technology, which it subsequently leases out to the public sector, private businesses, and mobile operators. In January, CityFibre bought assets from KCOM, a Hull-based telecoms operator that is selling off its fiber-optic cable businesses outside its hometown.
CityFibre, which is backed by venture capitalist Jon Moulton serves 37 major cities and towns with broadband over its 3,000km fiber-optic networks.
The deal with Exa Networks is around 3.96 US dollars and that with Diva Telecom is around 1.58 US dollars. It is estimated that the deals will bring connectivity to 350 sites using CityFibre’s network. Exa and Diva are both highly commercial organizations with great local market knowledge.
The use of CityFibre’s pure fiber-optic network infrastructure will enable Exa Networks to offer its customers best-in-class connectivity services.
CityFibre utilizes BT Openreach’s network of ducts and telegraph poles to further expand its network across the UK. In the UK telecom market, Openreach has been forced by Telecommunication regulatory authorities to open its networks to competitors. CityFibre has plans to expand its operations after BT’s Openreach share the networks.
