m2fx Expands to Oman and UAE

London, UK and Dubai, 17 March 2015 – m2fx, the inventors and producers of the world-leading range of patented Miniflex™ fiber cables today announced a new partnership with Innogulf, expanding distribution of its products into Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Innogulf will provide customers with m2fx’s full product range, including its innovative Miniflex pushable fiber cables. Developed to resist the toughest conditions, and withstand direct sun and long term temperatures of 80 degrees centigrade, the cables are proven to reduce installation costs and increase reliability.

Both Oman and the UAE are at the forefront of fiber rollouts, with 85% of homes in the UAE subscribing to Fibre to the Home (FTTH) services, the highest percentage in the world, according to FTTH Council MENA figures. Additionally, major construction projects in Dubai, around Expo 2020, and Qatar’s staging of the World Cup are providing increasing opportunities for fiber deployments in hotels, malls, and compounds.

Innogulf Solutions is focused on creating a platform to enable innovative and advanced solutions to penetrate the Middle East market and support them to become market leaders.

The primary purpose of Innogulf is to bring technological innovation closer to the end user effectively. As well as m2fx, it currently works with innovative manufacturers of communications equipment, cabling, datacentre, fire & safety, and POLAN solutions.

“At Innogulf we are continually looking for innovative, high-quality products that deliver real advantage to our customers,” said Jabeen Banu, Director, Innogulf. “m2fx’s market-leading pushable fiber is the perfect fit for philosophy, with its unique technology bringing down costs while delivering a durable solution for fiber projects. Given the growth in the local market, we can see substantial opportunities for our partnership to increase fiber deployments across the UAE and Oman.”

Available with m2fx’s patented QuikPush pushable technology, the Miniflex range combines lightness, flexibility, and robustness. QuikPush speeds up installations by enabling crews to simply push or pull fiber to their destination, without the need to use expensive blowing machines. The strength of Miniflex’s pre-tested products means they can be nailed directly to external and internal walls, without the need for additional ducting.

Reduced installation times and greater reliability translate into higher quality, increased productivity and lower costs. Crews can complete 60% more installations per day without impacting quality. By deskilling operations cheaper labor can be used, bringing down costs by up to 50% in the Middle East.

“The Gulf region is undergoing huge growth, with major construction projects underway and planned across the United Arab Emirates,” said Simon Roberts, sales director, Middle East, and Africa, m2fx. “These provide significant opportunities for fiber deployments, and the combination of Innogulf’s market knowledge and m2fx’s pushable, long-lasting products offers a high-quality, cost-effective solution to project needs. We look forward to working together with the team at Innogulf to serve these rapidly expanding markets.”
