FTTH Council Asia-Pacific Selects Venue for 2019

Wuhan, the “Optical Valley” of China will host 14th FTTH Council Asia-Pacific Conference. The Council, through an email newsletter had distributed the details to the registered users. The event will be held for three days starting on Monday, the 15 April, 2019 and ending on Wednesday, the 17 April 2019.

The last year’s event (2018) was held in Manila, Philippines. Council newsletter says that by learning from last year’s experience, in 2019 also the Council will collaborate with the CRU to organize the event.. YOFC will be host sponsor for the event in 2019.

Wuhan, the sprawling capital of Central China’s Hubei province, is a commercial center divided by the Yangtze and Han rivers. The city contains many lakes and parks, including expansive, picturesque East Lake. Wuhan is home to many of the world’s leading optical communications companies; the city has become synonymous with the latest advances in telecom technologies.

Event Theme for 2019

“5G Smart Cities Enabled by Fiber” will be the theme for 2019. The conference will explore how the Asia Pacific telecom industry is continuing its deployment of FTTx and deep fiber to the network edge as a converged platform, from which smart cities and 5G networks can be built.

FTTH Council Asia-Pacific Conference

FTTH APAC Conference in 2019 is estimated to attract more than 500 senior executives from the telecom regulators, policy makers, network operators, municipal leaders and solutions providers from 37 countries. Policy makers from telecom opeators belonging to Middle East Asia and Europe also attend the conference.

The Conference is a great meeting point for the Asia Pacific telecoms market. Participants can gain market insights and can network with hard-to-reach decision makers. The event will have 45+ workshops and presentations.

Telecom operators from across Asia Pacific will share their strategies on deep fiber deployment

The event helps the participants to understand regional policy developments and their impact on network investment when they attend the case studies from municipal leaders on most effective smart city strategies. Participants can gain technical knowledge on how converged FTTx networks enable 5G coverage and Smart City functionality. The interactive exhibition will provide a chance to see the innovations and meet the suppliers.
