Fibre Engineer Job in Bristol

Electus is looking for Fibre engineer for Bristol, The United Kingdom. Electus is supporting Cable & Splicing Services (CASS) a telecommunications contracting specialist. They have won a major contract and have several opportunities available.

They specialize in delivering turnkey telecom services in fibre, copper, network civils for fibre cities and highways in the UK. They integrate technical disciplines within all legacy, modern and new build communication infrastructures – they do this on both small and very large-scale projects across a broad spectrum of industry, commerce and public access networks.

They are currently recruiting for experienced and accredited All Round Fibre Splicers for work in the following areas:

*Bristol (30 mile radius)
*Shrewsbury/Shropshire
*Greater Midlands/West Midlands/Stoke/Nottingham Area

In your role you will be responsible for:

*Working on the Openreach legacy and One Fibre Network providing Fibre connectivity to Customer premises
*Working at heights and in the underground network
*Splicing fibre and testing at multiple points throughout the installation
*Working as an individual and as a part of team to achieve targets and KPI’s.
*Adherence with Health and Safety legislation

You will have the following qualifications and be able to prove experience and competence.

*Must hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on your licence
*Hold a valid NRSWA street works Operative unit 2 card
*Hold or have held the following Openreach overhead, underground and fibre accreditation modules – MT003, SA001, SA002, Confined Spaces, N23, N27, N28, N020, K8, IPAF. S7 and S8 (PIA) would also be an advantage. CASS Academy can assist with renewals or any missing accreditations.
*Have extensive experience of working on the Openreach network as an all-rounder, cabling, splicing and testing.
*Confident working at heights and in the underground network
*Excellent communication skills
*Risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on Health and Safety practices.
