Your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct market research, development, benchmarking, due diligence and investment analysis works for business case development;
- Devising M&A and direct investment strategies, identifying sectors and groupings of companies that might be viable business targets for the company;
- Conducting investigations into the financial and commercial state of companies subject to a particular transaction;
- Carrying out financial modelling, then developing and presenting appropriate financial recommendation;
- Constructing business cases for management review and approval;
- Working with corporate finance colleagues to provide advice on capital structure if necessary;
- Managing transaction and overseeing the negotiation of terms and developing proposals;
- Constructing new issue and takeover timetables; and
- Ensuring all the regulatory aspects of a transaction have been considered by working with different professional parties involved like lawyer and auditors.
The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:
- University Degree in Business / Finance / Accountancy / Economics or related discipline with CPA, CFA or relevant professional qualification;
- At least 3 to 12 years’ accounting / business planning / M&A/ finance / investment or relevant experience;
- Pay attention to detail and with strong numerical sense;
- Take ownership and accountability of the projects or tasks assigned by management;
- An approachable communicator with ability to influence and work with internal / external partners;
- Flexible, proactive and able to solve complex problems independently;
- Proficient in MS Office applications (eg. EXCEL VBA, MS Access, etc), especially spreadsheets and presentation tools;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese; proficiency in Putonghua is desirable;
- Excellent command of verbal and written English and Chinese;
- Energy and commitment; and
- Travelling internationally will be required.
