Switzerland-based fiber optic and data cabling solutions provider R&M has expanded its operations in the United States by acquiring Maryland’s Optimum Fiberoptics Inc. The acquisition makes R&M’s logistic channels more powerful and effective to respond to its customer requirements quickly.
The Swiss maker R&M caters to the fiber optic network, data cabling market. It is a popular brand in Middle East Asia and European countries. The acquisition will add new capabilities to R&M’s production and sales activities.

Optimum Fiberoptics Inc., is a U.S based fiber optic cable and connectivity specialist having production facilities in Elkridge, Maryland. Optimum was Founded in 1997 and is a premium manufacturer and supplier of fiber management products for the commercial, industrial and governmental market. It has developed strong customer relationships in Washington D.C. and the Mid-Atlantic states supported by its quality products and its agility to provide customized solutions within short lead-times.
With its new location on the East Coast, R&M can offer the full range of its products and services nationwide. Further investments will follow over the next 24 months to further strengthen R&M’s presence in the North American market.
