Hexatronic Strikes a Supply Deal with CityFibre for providing fiber optic solutions

The UK division of Swedish fiber optic solution provider Hexatronic Group AB has entered into a supply agreement with CityFibre to provide fiber optic passive products. The Hexatonic UK Ltd., which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hexatronic Group AB, will supply passive fiber optic solutions including fiber optic cables, micro duct, connection boxes and aerial nodes to the fiber optic infrastructure builders engaged in building CityFibre’s network

Hexatronic’s products will be used by CityFibre as the provider rolls out its city-wide, full fiber networks to five million UK homes by 2025.

An official press release at Hexatronic group’s website says that the agreement has an approximate value of GBP40milion for the supply of components in the deployment of the first one million homes in CityFibre’s roll-out.

These components will be deployed in the first one million homes that CityFibre will connect with fiber as per its plans. It follows a letter of intent, signed with CityFibre last year, worth approximately GBP6million with the first shipments already delivered.
