We are seeking the services of an Optic Fibre Splicing Technician to join our team in Pooraka South Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company with secure long term contracts. We are growing rapidly
and are seeking an experienced and competent Optic Fibre Splicing Technician who is proficient in fibre connections and splicing and testing of all fibre links within the utilities network. You will be responsible to ensure our Company delivers all projects
of the highest quality to the client in a safe and timely manner.
You will be required to undertake a Pre-employment medical that will include a drug and alcohol screening. You will also need to have a current Australian driver’s license.
Your role will include, but not be limited to:
Splice, test and commission optical fibre loose tube and ribbon fibre.
Working on multiple projects simultaneously from start to completion
Telstra wideband splicing activities.
Live cutovers, new network and exchange builds.
Workbooks
Client and customer liaison.

Possess a sound technical knowledge of the fibre networks and related work practices used by Diamond Communications and our clients.
Possess communication skills, both written and verbal, of a high standard.
Experience working on Australian optical fibre networks.
Knowledge working within the Telstra wideband network an advantage.
Must be an Australian Resident with proof of work entitlements within Australia.
