Our client who is involved with several large scale projects is looking for a Cable Network Engineer for one of their prestigious projects to be based in the inner west.
The successful candidate will have the following Key Accountabilities:
Responsible for incident response, maintenance and the implementation of the Operational Technology Optical Fibre and Copper Cable Networks
Ensure installation schedules are delivered in accordance with customer projected times, Operational Technology Service Delivery targets and priorities.
Liaise with other field staff to ensure satisfactory delivery of cable works. This includes ensuring customers are kept informed of the status of the work affecting their services.
Accountable for preparation, jointing and termination tasks for smaller installations or as part of a team for larger projects on Optical Fibre and Copper Cables.
Performing precision cable splicing on the Optical Fibre Network to ensure network integrity standards are maintained.
Assist the Cable Network Specialist with the location and correction of cable faults.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Undertaken formal Fibre Optical & Copper training at a registered training organisation/ trade certificate desirable.
Highly skilled in jointing and terminating both Optical Fibre and Copper Cables and proven knowledge in cable route minor works.
Proven knowledge in Optical Fibre & Copper Cables Networks.
Current Australian Communications Media Authority (ACMA) open licence with all endorsements.
Current Driving Licence
Experience in delivering and undertaking maintenance activities on Optical Fibre and Copper cable network systems in the field.
Sound communication and interpersonal skill
