Job Summary:
The Telecommunication Technical Architect is a member of the National Telecommunications Service Line, supporting both new business development and project and production support. The position is responsible for the assessment of business requirements; collection and identification of technical specifications; and the subsequent development of advanced contact center solutions. They will envision and create solutions that meet requirements; identify the points of integration within an infrastructure; prove the feasibility of a solution; work with strategic partners required to deliver, and to assist in maintaining the infrastructure.
The Architect will work with the National Telecommunications Service line ensuring that new technology solutions are designed for optimal access, and leverage existing technologies for their usefulness, and understand system-wide impacts. They will assist in near/mid-term roadmap creation, to address gaps and move the company towards the future state architecture to support future business growth and innovation.
Responsibilities:
Provides technical expertise and direction for the development of complex hardware and software projects.
Assists with decisions based on the highest degree of technical complexity and thorough understanding of the implications across the organization.
Translates application and end user system requirements into technical requirements.
Analyzes and solves complex problems, making recommendations as needed, applying creative, in-depth technical and theoretical knowledge.
Defines strategies for networking, server platform, desktop services, and security required to support Clinical Foundation Suite environment
Leads orientation and planning review sessions with the local Information Technology project managers.
Assists the national technical program manager in the development and maintenance of the standard project plan template.
The identification of business and technical requirements, voice infrastructure and operations and management requirements, as part of an overall strategy that aligns the benefits of enterprise solution with the client’s business needs.
Vendor proposal evaluations, cost evaluations, and contract negotiations.
Provide primary technical guidance and occasional hands on support to a defined group of Healthcare Ministry’s located within a geographical region.
Provide secondary support to healthcare ministry’s outside of their region.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Ten years of experience required.
Preferred Experience:
Minimum 4 years of proven experience in designing large business telephony / Unified Communication solutions.
Proficiency in various telephony and networking solutions (ININ, Avaya, Cisco, Unify)
Accredited BA/BS degree. Industry Certifications a plus
Healthcare IT experience a plus
Helps collect and define business requirements
Identifies and analyzes problems
Troubleshoots applications
Maintenance of installed systems – monitors and maintains.
Produces and maintains documentation
Areas of proficiency include:
Solid understanding of Interactive Intelligence Contact Center technology
Knowledge of Contact Center solutions and applications.
Knowledge of Avaya Aura architecture.
Cisco Call Manager IP Telephony knowledge
A fundamental knowledge around LAN/WAN networking protocols in support of VoIP deployments.
Ability to articulate complex technical solutions to Executive leadership and decision makers.
Ability to provide TCO, ROI, and other common business justification tools
Personable skills / team player.
Experience in managing configuration documentation and strong adherence to change control methodologies.
