DuPont is almost synonym to the Aramid yarns for people working in fiber optic cable manufacturing industry. DuPont’s Kevlar brand aramid yarns are extensively used in optical fiber cables. All dielectric self-supporting cables make use of aramid yarns as peripheral strength members. Aramid yarns are non-metallic and hence the cables made with these yarns can be installed near electrical power transmission lines. DuPont has created almost all required grades of yarns suitable for applications in different installation environments such as aerial, indoor, duct/lashed aerial, anti-ballistic etc.
DuPont has brought world-class science and engineering to the global marketplace through innovative products, materials and services for more than 200 years. Dupont’s market-driven innovation introduces thousands of new products and patent applications every year, serving markets as diverse as agriculture, nutrition, electronics and communications, safety and protection, home and construction, transportation and apparel.
The resolution of this litigation helps ensure the protection of Dupont’s proprietary technology.
