CenturyLink plans to equip 505 Utah housing developments with FTTH
FierceTelecom reports that CenturyLink has some ambitious plansin Salt Lake City to expand its 1 Gbps fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) service by bringing it to 505 new multi-unit housing developments this year in Utah. The service provider is not going about it alone in expanding its FTTH service to more residential users. It is also working with master plan community developers like Daybreak.

CT Signs Contract for Digital Links for PATEC
Central Telegraph (CT), providing services in the city and region of Moscow, has concluded a state contract with the Public Aviation Telecommunications Equipment Center (PATEC) to deploy a corporate data transmission network on the basis of digital E1 links for PATEC. Russian regional fixed operator have deployed fiber optic cables have been deployed under the project by replacing copper data transmission lines.

Broadband boost for Telford & Wrekin
A £5.6 million program to roll out superfast broadband across Telford and Wrekin has been signed with BT and city Council. The deal will enable more than 9,300 residents and businesses that cannot currently access faster fiber broadband to do so by the end of 2017.
