CASSCOMM Selects RF Return Technology of iPhotonix

iPhotonix, an innovation leader for the fiber optic network solution industry, says that CASSCOMM has selected their RF Return technology solutions. CASSCOMM serving in 11 counties in central Illinois will take advantage of the RF return technology for enhanced broadvision cable delivery.

MSO and Telecom operators continue to look for innovative ways to bring high bandwidth and higher value services to their customers while leveraging their existing current network investments. GPON is a compelling option to fulfill this challenge when combined with RF Overlay and RF Return Path Technology offered by iPhotonix. An operator of multiple cable or direct broadcast satellite television systems is called an MSO or Multiple System Operator. Any cable company that serves multiple communities is an MSO, but in many countries such as US and UK, the term MSO is usually reserved for companies that own a large number of cable systems.

CASSCOMM has been aggressively deploying fiber optic networks. The operator use several different technologies to accomplish this deployment. The iPhotonix solution will allow them to offer video in areas where they do not have traditional DOCSIS cable plant. iPhotonix Ethernet return technology, where GPON is combined with their Switched IP Video, all High Definition Platform from Adara Technologies, will be used when the operator develop greenfield areas.
