Seacom Finishes Nairobi to Kampala Submarine Fiber Link

The submarine cable system operator, Seacom has completed the construction of undersea fiber optic cable link between Nairobi and Kampala. This high-speed communication network from Kenya’s capital to Uganda’s capital is routed through Tororo, the easter city of Uganda.

Seacom continues its bid to increase capacity and uptake of its broadband services in the region. Seacom completed developing capacity for the delivery of services to Kampala on the back of low capacity from Nairobi. Now Seacom has their own capability to deliver services from Mombasa to Nairobi, Nairobi to Tororo border and then to Kampala.
