Light Source Communications Plans to Build New Fiber Route

US based dark optical fiber network provider, Light Source Communications will build a new intercity dark optical fiber route in Georgia. The project is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2017. The new fiber optic route, which is designed to have length of around 320 kilometers will connect Atlanta and Augusta and pass through Athens. Huawei Marine and Tele Greenland Join Hands to Deploy 100G Network

Huawei Marine joins hands with Tele Greenland for the deployment of a 100G network along the Greenlandic Westcoast. The new coalition will also upgrade the capacity of existing Greenland Connect fiber optic cable, which connects Greenland with Iceland/Europe and North America. Huawei says once the new project is completed, the submarine system would be the world’s first 100G submarine network in the norther hemisphere.
